School Profile

Edgewater operates on a ten-month system with two semesters, each made up of two nine-week sessions. Students earn one credit for each yearlong subject passed. One-half credit is earned for each semester-length course that is passed. The school day is six periods long with each period lasting fifty-seven minutes. Students must earn twenty-four credits in a combination of required and elective courses and must achieve a minimum grade point average of 2.0 in order to graduate. Students in the graduating class of 2006 will also be required to pass the FCAT to receive a diploma.
